Born in Rochester, Michigan, Mike Devereaux earned a BFA in Industrial Design from Kendall College of Art and Design in 2005. He began working as a consulting designer for various firms on projects ranging from furniture and spaces to consumer products, sporting equipment and clothing.
In 2007, he founded Redwire Studio to pursue his passion for creating simple, beautiful, experience centered objects that apply materials and processes in unexpected ways. Later that year his Circuit Lounge was selected by Dwell and Blu-Dot furniture, as runner-up in their …Next Classic competition and made its debut at the Dwell on Design 2007 conference in San Francisco. In 2008, his Domestic Workstation was selected as the winner, and People’s Choice in Context Furniture’s Design Democracy ’08.
