Maureen Vachon

Vachon received her undergraduate fine art education at the University of Michigan and the Boston Museum School.  After living some years in Boston, she returned to Detroit in 1992 to earn her MFA at Wayne State University. She currently lives and works in the metro area, teaching drawing at both Wayne State and CCS, while showing her drawing and painting both locally and nationally. This year her work was selected to appear in the inaugural issue of the literary journal Winter Tangerine Review. She is busily working on a series of illustrations based on the writing of the late Christopher Hitchens. Her work can be seen at
