Carla Gonzalez is Director of Admissions at CCS and is an active member of the National Portfolio Day Association (NPDA), Associated Independent Colleges of Art and Design (AICAD), and a member of the NAEA/MAEA National Art Educators Association/Michigan Art Educators Association. Prior to her role in Admissions, she was Director of the CCS Precollege and Continuing Studies department where she planned and managed curricula for youth, high school, adult and certificate programs. Prior to CCS, Gonzalez was a senior art buyer at the Mazer Corporation in Dayton, Ohio.
She has also held positions at the Grillo Group, Inc., Gallery 312 (Chicago) and teaching positions at Wright State University, Grinnell College, New Trier Extension, Wilbur Wright Community College and University of Illinois-Chicago. Outside of work Carla exhibits her photographic work, is a member of the American Society of Picture Professionals, and was a board member and volunteer of the P.E.A.C.H. Club after school arts mentoring program. Gonzalez received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Syracuse University and her Master of Fine Arts degree in Photography from the University of Illinois-Chicago.
