Chris Welch comes from a line of designers.

After graduating from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Industrial Design, Welch did quite a bit of work for Hasbro which included both toys and entertainment work. Welch also did work with Designworks, BMW, Philips and Siemens Nuclear Medicine designing heart cameras.

In 2004, Welch started working for Chrysler after co-inventing the original stow-n-go seating system. At Chrysler he's worked on the latest Grand Cherokee interior, the Ram interior, the Wrangler interior and the Viper interior. Currently, he is working on the new Jeep Grand Wagoneer.

Welch has also aided in the development of Corel Painter 10, and was instrumental in the creation of the path tools.
