International Student Services Office Coordinator


STATUS: Part-Time
DIVISION: Enrollment and Student Services
REPORTS TO: Director of International Student Services



The International Student Services Office (ISSO) Coordinator reports to the Director of International Student Services. The Coordinator will serve a variety of functions in support of the various projects and initiatives of the ISSO. Core responsibilities will include general administrative support for the Director and Global Programs Advisor. The Coordinator will work to ensure that the ISSO consistently provides superior services to the CCS international student community. 

This is a part-time position, serving 28 hours per week, during the academic year.


  • Serve as the first point of contact for students visiting the ISSO
  • Answer phone calls and greet guests to the office; perform triage for requests and needs from internal and external constituents
  • Manage general office email account
  • Calendar and appointment coordination; schedule appointments as needed
  • Scan documents including application, immigration, and advising material
  • Data-entry related to current students, prospective students, alumni, and study abroad inquiries
  • General filing duties and management of student files, office forms, and supplies
  • Assist with preparation, and implementation of events in support of the mission of the ISSO, including International Student Check in August, programming for International Education Week in November, Study Abroad information sessions, and student social events
  • Promotion for on campus events, including creating original images, posters, and posts
  • Update Peacock Pride our campus engagement website
  • Document final editing, for ISSO publications
  • Manage social media for the ISSO
  • Maintain and update the monthly newsletter in collaboration with ISSO staff
  • Compose official letters for international students
  • Develop procedures and administrative initiatives to promote efficiency and accuracy in the international office
  • Help with student employees as needed
  • Collaborate with departments across the College, including academic departments, IT, Advising, Admissions, Student Success, Student Life, and others



Required Qualifications

  • Experience in general office administration
  • Interest in working with international students
  • Ability to work with sensitive and confidential documents
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Computer proficiency in Google Drive, and Docs, Microsoft Suite, Social media including Instagram, College database software, etc.


Preferred Qualifications

  • A helpful personality willing to problem solve a multitude of questions
  • Experience in graphic design software or Canva
  • Experience managing office communications and correspondence
  • Experience and/or interest in events, planning and promotion



This job operates in a professional office and college campus environment.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to maintain a stationary position, use a computer and other office equipment, and communicate effectively in person, by phone, and virtually.  Frequent interaction with others, including staff, faculty, students and third parties is required.  The employee may occasionally be required to move files or other objects weighing up to 25 pounds, including from low and high places.  The ability to move around within the office and between buildings on campus, attend off-site meetings and events, and travel between Ford Campus site to Taubman Center site are required.  CCS will make reasonable accommodations that will allow individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
