Opera Innovator and MacArthur Fellow Yuval Sharon Presents “Invisible Cities”
On Thursday April 4, 2019, the MFA Interaction Design program will welcome Yuval Sharon, founder and artistic director of the experimental opera company The Industry. Sharon, whom the New York Times has called “opera’s disrupter in residence” will present a screening of The Industry’s interdisciplinary production of “Invisible Cities,” an operatic adaptation of the novel by Italo Calvino. Originally staged in Los Angeles’ Union Station in 2013, the opera was produced for wireless headphones.
