"The Girl with the D Earring," as CCS Fine Arts alumna Sydney G. James titles the nine-story work finished Monday, is a take on Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer’s best-known canvas – "Girl with a Pearl Earring," created in 1665.

Galerie Camille is pleased to announce the solo exhibition opening of “Blackbird & Paloma Negra: The Mothers” by Detroit visual artist, educator and CCS alumna, Sabrina Nelson. Sabrina’s latest body of work is inspired by Nina Simone’s song Blackbird and her charge to artists “it is your duty to reflect the times”. This experience opens to the public, by appointment on September 4th and runs through October 3rd.
