Fashion Accessories Design Chair Aki Choklat served as a judge at Graduate Fashion Week in London. Choklat also presented the Swarovski Sustainable Accessories Competition Award, which was announced during Graduate Fashion Week.

Brouhard teaches handbags and small leather goods in the Fashion Accessories Design (FAD) program. He is also a pattern and sample maker of fine leather goods for Shinola and a designer of his own rugged yet modern messenger bags, totes and duffels. They are all beautifully crafted and built to last — benefitting from his CCS education, a lifetime of sewing, as well as experience up and down the scale of production from the first cut to the finished product.

In an effort to both collaborate with Detroit fashion retailers and to raise funds for an upcoming international trip, the College for Creative Studies’ (CCS) Fashion Accessories Design students will exhibit and sell their handcrafted leather accessories at the Detroit Clothing Circle in Midtown, Detroit, on May 5, 2018.
