U245 Student Gallery: CCS’s venue for student-generated exhibitions

The U245 Gallery is a student-run gallery space dedicated to exhibiting student artwork from across the college curriculum. The U245 offers matriculated students from all academic departments; a venue in which to propose curated exhibitions of their work along with the works of other CCS students.

Call for Proposals

CCS degree-seeking students are invited to submit proposals for group exhibitions involving three or more student artists in the U245 Student Gallery. Proposals should include:

  • 3 or more images representative of the work they would like to present
  • A statement or description of the show
  • Names, years, and majors of all artists involved

This call is open to all majors, all departments and all media. Projects may consist of installation, design, painting, photography, performance, fashion, dance, audio/video installations, site-specific works, and beyond. Submissions are accepted on an ongoing basis throughout the year.

BIG BOY
March 29 – April 19

BIG BOY, a two-person exhibition by Robert Veresan and Justin Miller, exploring midwest visual vernacular, children’s cartoons and art history through sculpture and painting.

Finding Out About Feelings
February 8 – March 8, 2019

Finding Out About Feelings was an exhibition that examines the artists’ past through re-appropriated readymades. Through self-reflection and sculptural compositions, Allie Runyan, Jacob Wonch, and Anthony Brazeau excavate their personal histories in relation to the everyday object to understand the how the environment they inhabit shapes them into the people they become.
