Requirements for Art Education Teacher Certification
Prospective students who have already earned a bachelor's degree may apply following the post-graduate admission requirements below.
Students who have not yet earned a bachelor's degree should apply following the Undergraduate admission requirements.
CCS alumni who wish to enroll will need to complete the online application, but do not need to submit a transcript or portfolio as their proven experience and ability is already on record.
Complete the Online Application
Before you can become a student at CCS, we need to know more about you. This is your first step - complete it now and then follow up with the other pieces as soon as you can.
Request official college transcripts digitally through Parchment. Transcripts can also be sent via email. Applicants must have a minimum 2.7 college cumulative grade point average.
CCS graduates do not need to submit a transcript as their proven experience and ability is already on record.

CCS alumni and graduates of other AICAD schools do not need to submit a portfolio as their proven experience and ability is already on record.
Applicants with a Non-BFA Bachelor's Degree
Applicants who have earned a bachelor's degree, but not a BFA and who have experience in a related field must also submit:
- Letter of recommendation outline teaching practices/experience
- CV/Resume outlining experience in professional practice in community arts, museum or classroom setting

Enrollment Deposits are due within two weeks of receipt of your acceptance letter, or by May 1st, whichever is later.
Winter Semester Start
