MFA Scholarships

Scholarships are merit awards that don’t require repayment.

By completing your application to CCS, you are automatically considered for a graduate scholarship. We base scholarship awards on your portfolio, academic record, interview and potential for success in your Master of Fine Arts program.

Admitted applicants who have been awarded a CCS MFA Scholarship will receive notification of the scholarship in their acceptance letter.

Enrolled students must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in order to continue receiving their scholarship funding.

Note: If you are receiving tuition assistance from your employer or country, you are not eligible for these scholarships.

International Student Grant

New and returning International students are awarded $1,500 in the first semester of enrollment each academic year.

Loans are financial aid components that require repayment—with interest.

Federal Unsubsidized Stafford Student Loan Program

These are fixed-rate, non-need-based loans that are available to all students who have completed the FAFSA . The unsubsidized Stafford begins accruing interest from the time the loan is disbursed. You don’t have to start repayment, however, until after you graduate or withdraw from school.

Federal Graduate PLUS Loan Program

“Grad Plus” fixed-rate loans are based on a credit application and are guaranteed by the federal government. They allow you to make up the difference between the cost of your education and caps on Stafford loans. Repayment begins 60 days after the loan is fully disbursed but can be deferred while you are enrolled in school at least half time.

Alternative Loan Program

These are credit-based loans from private lenders. For information on private loans, contact the Office of Financial Aid.
