WATCH ME WORK: Darrin Brouhard, Instructor, Fashion Accessories Design
Brouhard teaches handbags and small leather goods in the Fashion Accessories Design (FAD) program. He is also a pattern and sample maker of fine leather goods for Shinola and a designer of his own rugged yet modern messenger bags, totes and duffels. They are all beautifully crafted and built to last — benefitting from his CCS education, a lifetime of sewing, as well as experience up and down the scale of production from the first cut to the finished product.
Tommy Scott Wins Emmy Award for “Rick and Morty”
Alum Tommy Scott (2009) was awarded an Emmy for his work as a Concept Artist and Background Designer as part of the creative team at Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim animated television series Rick and Morty. The creative team won the Emmy award for “Pickle Rick,” the third-season episode that combines a series of increasingly inventive action sequences, and a notable guest performance by Susan Sarandon.
CCS Transportation Design Students Designing Military Vehicles of the Future
Over the past 25 years CCS has developed a close design-relationship with TARDEC, United States Army Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center located in Warren, Michigan. WDIV Detroit recently featured the work of TARDEC and how CCS contributes to what they do.
