As a part of his experience as a Hodder Fellow at Princeton University, CCS Illustration alumnus Mario Moore created a series of portraits depicting blue-collar campus workers around Princeton and is now being featured on CNN.
CCS Alumna Opens Tattoo Parlor and Art Collective
CCS Illustration alumna Samm Rae recently hosted the grand opening of her brand new KarmaKnife Tattoo and Art Collective in downtown Jackson, Michigan. This collective not only acts as a tattoo parlor, but also a fine art gallery featuring the work of local artists, who receive 100% of the proceeds.
Which Way Forward? Equitable Mobility for Detroit in 2030
The 2030 Detroit Equitable Mobility, a joint project by the College for Creative Studies (CCS), Design Core Detroit, Ford Motor Company and the communications agency GTB has, is on display at the Smithsonian Design Museum as a part of the Road Ahead exhibition.
CCS Appoints Dr. Deirdre Young as the College’s Inaugural Assistant Dean for Institutional Equity and Inclusion
The College for Creative Studies is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Deirdre Young as the College’s inaugural Assistant Dean for Institutional Equity and Inclusion. In this new role, Dr. Young will not only support and advance a diverse and equitable campus culture for students but also lead the CCS community in the design and implementation of a framework that will guide campus-wide decisions, practices and policies regarding inclusion.
