Campbell Ewald and CCS create CE City

In celebration of its centennial anniversary, advertising agency Campbell Ewald (CE) has partnered with CCS and other Detroit organizations to establish Creatively Inspired Talented Youth (CE City). The group consists of CE City Panel; CE City Workshop at CCS; and the Mac Shack, a computer lab at YouthVille Detroit. The culmination of this effort will be an annual scholarship to attend CCS. The agency is donating time and talent with an initiative that underscores its historical commitment to giving back to the community by supporting the next generation of creative talent. â??The vibrant, talented youth of Detroit are the future of the creative industry,â? said Bill Ludwig, chairman and CEO of Campbell Ewald. â??CE City will ignite, build and support this new generation of talent by helping them grow and recognize the career and educational opportunities available to them.â? The initiative began with the CE City panel, a symposium for high school students to learn about educational and career opportunities in creative-related fields such as advertising. The event was conducted at CCSâ??s Benson and Edith Ford Conference Center conference center and featured industry experts in a variety of creative fields. The CE City Workshop will take place January through March 2012, giving high school students hand-on learning opportunities and mentoring as they develop creative solutions addressing real marketing challenges. In March, CE City will award a scholarship to one talented student to attend CCS. The scholarship is funded by Campbell Ewald and its employees. â??Partnering with Campbell Ewald allows us to bridge the gap between education and real life experience,â? said Mark Zapico, associate professor and chair, Advertising. â??Our collaborative efforts will allow us to foster student development on a deeper level.â? Visit the CE City Facebook page here:
