The Cultural Council of Birmingham/Bloomfield has named CCS alumna Laurie Tennent the winner of the 18th Annual Birmingham/Bloomfield Cultural Arts Award. Tennent is being recognized for her professional and philanthropic achievements and for using her talent to make a wide impact on the community in which she lives and works.
The public is invited to the awards presentation on Friday, Sept. 20 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center. Tennent will be presented with an award designed by Link Wachler and her name will be permanently inscribed on a plaque at the Birmingham City Hall. The Cultural Arts Award is co-sponsored by the the Cultural Council of Birmingham/Bloomfield, The Community House, the Birmingham Eccentric , and The Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center.
