Several CCS MFA Interdisciplinary Design students donated their time and artistic talent by designing a handmade, low impact holiday tree that was auctioned to raise funds for Lighthouse of Oakland County. Each ornament was built by hand using sustainable materials. The tree, which the students lovingly named “Flora” was on display in the atrium of the Bank of America Corporate Building in Troy, Mich. along with dozens of individually sponsored and decorated trees and wreaths designed by Detroit’s leading artists and designers.

“Flora” was auctioned for more than $500 and through Lighthouse of Oakland County, will help provide support and resources to move individuals and families from crisis to self-sufficiency. Lighthouse of Oakland County started its mission in 1972 providing food and clothing to individuals and families in need.
