CCS welcomes new Associate Professor in Graphic Design, Matthew Raupp

CCS is pleased to announce that effective the beginning of the fall 2013 semester, Matthew Raupp will be joining CCS as a full-time faculty member. Matt has served as an adjunct in the Graphic Design Department since 1999, teaching classes primarily in time-based media and interaction design. In addition to his teaching, Raupp has considerable professional design experience as a partner in the Royal Oak firm Defrost Design. At Defrost, he was responsible for creating print, interactive, and motion communications for a variety of educational and corporate clients, including Lawrence Technological University, College for Creative Studies, University of Michigan Ross School of Business, Nissan, Audi, General Motors, the Detroit Institute of Arts, and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, to name a few. While Raupp is officially leaving Defrost to take up his new teaching responsibilities, he will continue to consult with clients as part of the professional practice mandate of full-time faculty members.

Raupp brings real-world experience to the classroom and has a reputation among clients for his creative solutions, responsiveness, and ability to stay up to date in terms of the latest design practices and technologies. These are attributes that will serve CCS students well as they prepare for wherever their careers may take them.

Raupp holds a BFA and an MFA in Graphic Design from Eastern Michigan University and is a long-time active member of the Detroit Chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA).
