Design, wine and fashion converge at this year’s College for Creative Studies (CCS) Detroit International Wine Auction!

DIWAArt, design and fashion converged this year at CCS’s largest fundraiser! The Art of Wine: 32nd Detroit International Wine Auction (DIWA) was a resounding success raising nearly $1.3 million. The event, presented by General Motors Company and Cadillac, and Double Magnum sponsors Rock Ventures and the Forbes Company, was held on Saturday, Oct. 19 at Detroit’s Historic Cadillac Square. It was chaired by CCS Trustee Nathan Forbes and Catherine Forbes and CCS Trustee Matthew Cullen and Karen Cullen, with featured vintner Jean-Charles Boisset of Boisset Family Estates.
As always, the Featured Vintner’s Grand Lot was a runaway success fetching $70,000. Lucky winners will embark on an exclusive insider’s trip with Jean-Charles Boisset to experience the Hospices de Beaune festivities, a series of spectacular wining and dining events connected with the annual wine auction and not available to the public. Proceeds from the annual event support undergraduate student scholarships and free art classes to more than 4,000 Detroit kids.
