Denys Lapointe is an experienced executive with an impressive track record in industrial design, more specifically in the field of transportation. Working at Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) for the last 28 years, and presently acting as Executive Vice-President of Design & Innovation, Lapointe has been a key player in positioning the company as an undisputed leader in the motorized recreational vehicle industry.

Since joining BRP in 1985, he has held various design positions, including: Junior and Senior Designer; Design Director of the Sea-Doo US and Sea-Doo/Ski-Doo lines; Vice President of Product Design and Design & Innovation; and now his Executive VP role. Lapointe is the instigator of several important innovations in his industry and holds numerous invention patents for watercrafts, sport boats, snowmobiles and roadster vehicles.

Lapointe holds a bachelor’s degree in Design from the University of Quebec in Montreal. He is an active member of the advisory board for the College for Creative Studies in Detroit and the board of the Centre de Technologie Avancés –Université de Sherbrooke and BRP. Denys is also a member of several leading Design associations, such as ICSID, IDSA, ACID, and ADIQ.

Lapointe and his team have received numerous trade awards but more importantly over 30 international Design Awards, counting Red Dots-Germany, IDEA-US, IF-Germany and Good Design-US.
