CCS is pleased to announce a new partnership with The Grosse Pointe Academy

The College for Creative Studies (CCS) is pleased to announce a new partnership The Grosse Pointe Academy, commencing August 2020.

In an effort to introduce college-bound students to the lucrative entertainment arts industry and beyond, CCS will host two, week-long programs for rising fifth through eighth graders, taught by the College’s elite faculty on Grosse Pointe Academy’s campus.

Beginning Animation, Cartooning and Character Design will be offered during the partnership’s inaugural year, with more diverse programming planned for the future. Course descriptions and details regarding registration and costs for each of these offerings will be announced on Grosse Pointe Academy’s website in early March.

“The Grosse Pointe Academy is a renowned educational institution and well-known for nurturing an interest in the arts and for developing artistic talent.” said Don Tuski, President of CCS. “We are thrilled to partner with the Academy and help inspire even more young artists and designers to use their creativity to change the world.”

“We feel strongly that this cooperation will provide our students and the Grosse Pointe community with the opportunity to expand their artistic abilities and expose them to the creative possibilities provided by CCS at the pre-college and college level,” said Tommy Adams, The Grosse Pointe Academy Head of School. “Our hope is that this relationship will lead to other programmatic offerings in summers and school years to come.”
