Saturday Arts Academy

College for Creative Studies, in conjunction with The Detroit School of Arts, Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit, the Carr Center and the Detroit Public School Community District, have developed a unique, creative education opportunity for interested, passionate 6th, 7th & 8th grade students, to explore the arts alongside Detroit’s masterful art educators and teaching artists. Classes are held live using Zoom.

Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit

Acting

Explore the foundations of theater performance including articulation, projection and movement all through high energy games, monologues and scenes.

Vocal Music

Unlock the power of your voice and sing with more freedom as you improve vocal technique, stage presence and breath management while learning how to take care of your voice.

Carr Center

Dance

Explore a variety of dance techniques, styles and genres to unlock the dancer inside

Instrumental Music

Gain skills in the theory and practice of playing musical instruments towards the goal creating and performing solo and ensemble music.
