Fantasy vs. Reality

Thursday, October 19 at 6:30 p.m.

Tyanna Buie takes us on a journey from New Orleans to Paris, with stops in between, examining the facts and fictions inherent in exploring new cities.  Buie, Assistant Professor and section chair of Printmaking in the CCS Fine Arts Department, merges teaching with her artist practice by hosting printmaking workshops and demonstrations throughout the country, as well as participating in community-based art projects in underserved neighborhoods.  Buie is a recipient of the prestigious Joan Mitchell Painters & Sculptors Grant, and her work has been acquired by major intuitions and private collections nationally.

TravelArt Talks, informal talks by local art travelers, are sponsored by TravelArt Services, Inc., serving artists, collectors, galleries and museums for over 30 years.
