Since its founding in 1906, the College for Creative Studies has been dedicated to the creative, educational and cultural communities of Detroit.
The founding mission of CCS was “to encourage good and beautiful work as applied to useful service.” That spirit still animates the College today as it aims, through relentless creativity and cutting-edge programs, to educate the best artists and designers in the world and to use art and design in building a better Detroit for all its citizens.

Going to CCS has been a life-changing experience made possible with the help of scholarships. It’s given me the opportunity to travel across the country and become part of such a warm, constructive and inspiring community of artists.
