Emerging Technologies, Stories, and Strategies – Panel Discussion
In recent years, technological advancements have rapidly increased, changing the process and practice of creating media across many disciplines, as well as the avenues and opportunities for storytellers. Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Motion Capture, and Virtual Production alongside advancements made in VFX, CGI and other tools has made media creation both more and less complex simultaneously. This panel will focus on the process of integrating emerging technologies into production pipelines in the pursuit of creating work that transcends the toolset and connects with audiences. Panelists will discuss what is needed to be successful in this quickly evolving multi-media landscape as well as the need for cross-disciplinary approaches in identifiable fields such as Animation, Film, Photography, Illustration, Game and others.
