36th District Court Sponsored Research Project

During the 2013-14 academic year, students in CCS’s Interior Design program were challenged to develop a five-story renovation plan for Detroit’s 36th District Court. The court was seeking new, fresh and innovative ideas on how to update and transform their space to a more inviting and friendly environment. According to Judge Michael J. Talbot, the current appearance of the court hasn’t been updated in decades and sets a poor tone for employees and the public visiting the building.
