Erik Tuft is a full-time faculty in the product design department at College for Creative Studies (CCS).
Tuft has a diverse professional background in both Product and Transportation design and has lived and worked in Germany, Ireland, and USA. So far Tuft has more than thirty designs go to market, most of which are still in production. Some of the products he has worked on include the Lincoln MKC, Ford Mustang, Bosch Bulldog Hamerdrill, Line Freestyle ski bindings, and the Logitech M305 computer mouse. Tuft currently teaches Product Design full time at CCS and continues to design as a consultant.
He has worked in both the product design industry as well as the transportation design industry. He has been responsible for products such as the Lincoln MKC exterior, Ford Explorer interior, Line ski binding and Logitech lapdesk, and has worked with many well know clients including Bosch, Black Diamond and Terraillon.
He has European design experience living and working in both Koln Germany and Dublin Ireland.
In 2003 he graduated with a BFA in Industrial Design from Brigham Young University.
Tuft is married to the lovely Jona Tuft and the proud father of three boys. Growing up in Salt Lake City, Utah, as the son of a ski tour guide, Erik spent much of his growing up years on the ski slopes, gaining a great appreciation for the outdoors.
He also enjoys designing and building furniture and lighting in his spare time.
