Growing up, Ian Cobb was always passionate about art and playing sports. After graduating from high school, he went on to play college football at the University of Findlay. While there, Cobb fell in love with design and problem solving and transferred to CCS in order to pursue a degree in Industrial Design. After graduating, Cobb merged his passion for sports and design, and accepted a footwear design position at Adidas in Portland, Oregon. At Adidas, he worked within multiple design categories; successfully driving product creation from brief generation to final product confirmation, while providing support and creative assistance with the marketing direction. During that time, he also had the opportunity to work with signature athletes such as Derrick Rose and Robert Griffin III to create their iconic products. Having the desire to be back in his hometown, wanting to overcome new design challenges, and looking to continue growing as a designer, Cobb joined the Detroit based Sundberg Ferar design team in fall 2014. Cobb brings a new exciting perspective to the Product Design department with his diverse project array.
