James Adair

As a Design Sculptor for GM Design, Adair became an accomplished industrial sculptor. His experience includes the exterior development of the 1990 Chevrolet Cavalier and C5 Corvette. He is also an accomplished interior sculptor having grown to be highly proficient in developing designs using Alias CAD software. For the last 10 years of his career at GM Design, he served as the Sculpting Manager for Full Size Truck Interior leading the interior model development for the GMT 900 series for Chevrolet, GMC and Cadillac.

Adair worked at Adam Opel in Russelsheim, Germany in 1989 as well as GM Design at PATAC in Shanghai, China in 2006.

Research Interests:

James Adair competed his undergraduate and graduate work in Ceramics. His passion is in atmospheric firing, using wood and soda, of forms that are utilitarian in concept.
