Research Interests:
Designing with color and reflected light to affect the perception of space and shape. Experimentation with processes to enhance or change a material's inherent character to integrate aesthetically in multi-media object making.
Professional Experience:
Hired by the college for Creative Studies, 1996, as adjunct instructor Crafts/Glass and Foundation/Color departments. Concurrently maintained studio practice as gallery artist. In 2009 hired by Glass & Mirrorcraft as Color Specialist for color matching, formulation and project coordination. After recently leaving Glass & Mirror, Pierzchala is creating a new body of work based on the concept of traps and snares which explores inner and external impediments that are common in the human experience. Currently, adjunct instructor, Foundations Department, 3 Dimensional and 2 Dimensional design.
