‘IN THE AIR: VOICES FROM DETROIT AND BEYOND’ Features CCS Professor

Tyanna Buie, CCS Assistant Professor and Section Chair of Printmaking, is featured in “IN THE AIR: VOICES FROM DETROIT AND BEYOND.” The series includes works created by local and national artists in response to the global pandemic and racial injustice, featured on a billboard, located at the corner of S. Woodward and E. Canfield, Detroit. A total of eight solo-presentations, each one month in duration, have been on view since September 2020.

IN THE AIR: VOICES FROM DETROIT AND BEYOND features the final billboard installation with artwork created by Tyanna J. Buie, on view April 6 through April 17, 2021. To accompany the piece, an online artist talk will be held on Thursday, April 8, 12-1pm. This programming has been made possible with the support of Kresge Arts in Detroit, in partnership with Wayne State’s Department of Art and Art History.
