The Peacock Pledge
As a member of the CCS community, I play a vital role in maintaining a healthy and safe environment for all of our community members. I pledge to support a safe and healthy campus community by:
Acknowledging that personal health and safety is a shared responsibility and the COVID-19 virus is a shared risk;
Staying home from classes, student activities, and/or work when I am sick or exhibiting COVID-like symptoms;
Regularly checking my campus email and texts for CCS messaging related to COVID-19 and following College guidance about COVID testing, quarantine, isolation;
Washing my hands often with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds; if soap and warm water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand gel with at least 60% alcohol;
Taking responsibility for cleaning and disinfecting shared resources on campus like computer lab stations both before and after I have used them;
Sneezing and coughing into my elbow or covering my mouth and nose with a tissue;
Not sharing food, beverages, utensils, water bottles, or other personal items with others;
Refraining from eating outside of dining areas and personal offices while on campus;
Engaging with others with care, compassion, and understanding.
