Hello, my name is Allen Largin and simply put, I’m still just a little kid doing big kid things. I’m a Detroit creative that is striving every day to uniquely solve big problems and tell damn good stories while I’m at. Currently I’m lucky enough to work at Dan Gilbert’s family office, Rock Ventures, where as a team we work holistically across Dan & Jennifer’s portfolio of over 100 plus companies and, more importantly, we grind to be a catalyst for Detroit’s unrivaled comeback.

My creative career was catapulted at the age of 15 when I won a national design competition put on by Nike, and my mentor D’Wayne Edwards, called Future Sole. My winning design was worn by NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony and sold nationwide. After that incredible experience I would go on to attend THE College for Creative Studies where I interned at Under Armour, Adidas, and Nike. After graduating I worked full time at the Adidas Brooklyn FARM where I worked on advanced footwear concepts for some of the world’s best athletes. My life came full circle a when I returned to Detroit almost a year later and I was asked to teach footwear design at my alma mater, The College for Creative Studies.
