Professional Experience

Allison Goodwin has worked in the film business for over a decade in a variety of positions in production, talent representation, and development. As story analyst, she has assisted producers James Schamus and Ted Hope, actor/director Matthew Broderick, and the William Morris Agency in identifying promising work and talent, and in counseling screenwriters and directors on revisions to their scripts and stories.

Before coming to CCS, she taught writing, screenwriting, and literature at the School of Visual Arts and at Syracuse and National Taiwan Universities.

She holds an MFA from Syracuse University’s Creative Writing Program and a BA in English literature from Barnard College, Columbia University. She also studied in Columbia University’s Graduate Film Program, read English literature and drama at Clare College, Cambridge University, and completed the Two-Year Meisner Actor’s Training Program at William Esper Studio. She has received numerous fellowships, awards, and grants for her short fiction.
