Some of Carla Williams’ research interests include redesigning the Management Education Curriculum to include simulation-based education in online learning courses. Her management courses over the years have been Theory-based. Management centers around people who are unpredictable and organizations that often experience unpredictable external risk factors.

Professional Experience

Carla has worked in education and several organizations in the areas of Finance and Human Resources. As a small business owner and consultant Carla has been an advocate of growing business in Detroit through the lenses of her students. She has leveraged her experiences to help several of her students pursue entrepreneurship.

Carla began teaching business courses at Wayne County Community College in 2007 her classes included: Introduction to Business, Business Communication, International Business, Principles of Marketing, Principles of Management, Supervision concepts and Practices, and Interpersonal Communication in Business.

Carla has been teaching DAS-314 Financial Essentials and DAS-213 Business Practices at College for Creative Studies since 2021.
