Professional Experience

Carrie Marchand graduated from the College for Creative Studies (CCS) in 1998 with a BFA in Industrial Design.

In 2003 she returned to CCS to pursue her love of ceramics, completing a second BFA in 2008.

Marchand began teaching at CCS in 2000 in the Continuing Education Department and later within the Industrial Design Department.

Marchand began her career at General Motors as a Digital Sculptor in 1999. She has worked on various concept vehicle interiors including the 2000 Buick LaCrosse, 2002 Saturn Sky, & the 2007 Chevy Volt. She was responsible for an animation for the global premier of the 2000 Buick LaCrosse and was involved in the animation for the 2002 Saturn Sky show car, shown in Chicago. Most recently she worked on the 2016 Chevy Volt interior and has worked on several Specialty Vehicles for SEMA. She has also been Lead Digital Mentor to summer sculpting interns several years in a row.
