Professional Experience

Wilson has taught at Wesleyan University, Rhode Island School of Design and Eastern Michigan University. From 1994 to 2002 Wilson was a Lecturer at University of Michigan School of Art and Design. In 2002 she accepted a full time teaching position at Washtenaw Community College, and was the lead art faculty person there until 2012.

She is the recipient of a National Endowment for The Arts Regional Artist Fellowship, Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant, a DC Commission on Arts and Humanities Grant, and a Josef and Anni Albers Foundation Artist Residency.

She has exhibited widely and her work is in numerous private and public collections, including the Grand Rapids Museum of Art, University of Michigan Office of the President, University of Michigan Clark Map Library, Library of Congress, DC Commission on Arts and Humanities, Mott Children’s Hospital, Herman Miller, Cigna, and Washtenaw Community College.
