Professional Experience
John Carlson graduated from the College for Creative Studies and began photographing for the automotive industry.
In 1998, Carlson partnered with his brother to start Carlson Productions LLC, an advertising and commercial photography studio located in Royal Oak, Michigan. Under his own management, Carlson was able to branch out and diversify his subject matter to include architecture, product and food, as well as corporate and lifestyle photography. In 2008 Carlson returned to CCS as an adjunct professor to share his experiences and knowledge with the next generation of photographers.
