Professional Experience
Josh Ortega attended the College for Creative Studies from 2008-2012. While in college, he interned at the superyacht design firm Sinot Yacht Design in the Netherlands. After graduating from CCS’s Transportation Design program in 2012, Josh Ortega went to work at FCA as a designer on FCA’s Innovation Team. After a three year stint, this was followed by a year of product design experience, at Homedics and MDI. He then re-joined the auto industry working at Ford Motor Company as a designer on the Vehicle Personalization team, where he was responsible for the design of the 2020 2.3L High Performance Mustang. After 2 years at Ford, he joined GM where he is currently employed as an Exterior Creative Designer in the GMC Studio. He has been an adjunct professor at CCS since 2015.
