Michelle Lannoo’s research interests include storytelling as applied to environments, physical space as a vehicle for information to broaden the reach and strength of messaging. Other interests are design experiences that reveal common threads and expose the opportunity for an interdisciplinary approach.

Professional Experience

Lannoo is a Communication Designer at Four Design and Photo, developing brand and messaging for interiors, architecture and exhibitions. With a focus on education, her work appears in Lansing Community College–Center for Manufacturing Excellence, Delta College in the Great Lakes Bay Region, Dorsey Schools and Brainspring Learning Centers throughout South-Eastern Michigan. She is CCS alumni and has served as Adjunct Faculty in the Communication Design department since 1998. In 2019 she completed training with CCS Community Arts Partnerships, bringing art and design education to Detroit neighborhoods. Michelle accepted a full-time teaching position at the college in the Foundations Department in 2022, is a member of AIGA Detroit and SEGD–The Society for Experiential Graphic Design.
