Wendelin Wilson’s current research interests include the past, present, and future of art curriculum at the K-12 levels. Her focus promotes the VPAA (Visual Performing & Applied Arts) credit and it’s proper allocation within MI state curriculum.
Professional Experience
Wendelin Wilson is a K-12 certified art educator and the art department chair with the Chippewa Valley school district. Her focused teaching is Photography (both film and digital), Drawing and Painting, and Art Foundations. Her leadership includes being a member of the district’s Fine Arts Curriculum Council.
Initial work as a freelance illustrator parlayed Wendelin’s career through business ownership that includes: Hold Your Ponies Studio where she created and designed clothing for children, Right Brain Projects, which was a business that focused on art related team building experiences, a paint studio for the layperson called The Artist Lounge, and currently, Artfelt Soul which promotes art experiences in a therapeutic way.
Presently Wendelin is working on a body of work conceptually comprising of the strengths in feminine power as influenced by Hilma af Klint.
