Motion Design

Graduates of the CCS program in Motion Design are skilled in digital communication and content creation using moving image and multimedia design. They work at the nexus of motion graphics, illustration and animation, bringing story-telling and digital content to life.

The Program

Students in the Motion Design program push the boundaries of their practice and create sophisticated moving image narratives for a range of applications, from apps to ads to short films and more. The curriculum focuses on research and critical practice, bringing together visual communication, illustration, animation, film and the fine arts. Online and part-time options are available.

Degrees Offered

The 30-credit MA (initial degree) is the first year of the 60-credit MFA (terminal degree), with classes focusing on professional and technical skills and knowledge. During the second year, students embark on an independently defined critical enquiry.
