Be sure to follow all the steps. The Housing Application process requires several steps including making payments and completing the online application form. Incoming students must pay the $250 Enrollment Deposit before they can apply for housing.
Reserving space. Applications submitted without the required payments will not have a secure housing reservation.
Housing fills quickly. Housing is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, and all students interested in housing can apply at the same time. The Housing Application is open early January through the school year: ccshousing.roomchoice.com.
Online Application through RoomChoice.com. All students applying for CCS housing must pay a $20 application fee to RoomChoice.com and Sign Up (create an account) on the site in order to make a housing selection. You will also make your $300 Housing Payment through RoomChoice.
You will Need your CCS ID Number. When completing the RoomChoice.com application, you will be required to enter your CCS ID number. New students will find it on the Next Steps section of their Student Portal.
Step 1: Make Your Payments to CCS

Step 2: Complete the Housing Application
- Sign Up/Create an account
- Select your Room and Roommate
- Complete the Application Form
- Pay the $20 Application Fee and $300 First Housing Payment on RoomChoice.com
Step 3: Submit a Photocopy of Your COVID-19 Vaccination Card
Submit a photocopy to email@example.com for verification, mail a photocopy to Student Affairs, 201 E. Kirby, Detroit, MI 48202, or bring a photocopy to the Student Affairs Office in person.
