Three alumnae from the CCS Communication Design Department, Larisa Martin ('16), Emily Tinklenberg ('19), and Kelli Miller ('00) will join Doug Kisor, Professor Emeritus, for a conversation about their journeys through the field of motion graphic design. The conversation will highlight challenges and successes from freelance work to the studio and leading creative teams.

Partner / ECD
Kelli Miller is a Partner, Director, and Executive Creative Director at And/Or Studio. Kelli has worked in motion design and branding for over 15 years with entertainment networks and brands like HBO, MTV, Netflix, Amazon, and the BBC. She has directed show titles and live-action packaging for FX’s CAKE, HBO’s Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, and Paramount’s Lip Sync Battle, and film titles for Kelly Reichardt’s Certain Women, Rhys Ernst’s ADAM, and 2020 Sundance selections Kitty Green’s The Assistant and Eliza Hittman’s Never, Rarely, Sometimes, Always. Her commercial directing experience includes branded films for Spotify, Knotel, Clean & Clear, and TOMS, as well as music videos for the bands Deidre & The Dark and Posse.
Emily Tinklenberg is a designer and animator from Detroit, Michigan. She graduated from College for Creative Studies with a BFA in Communication Design in 2019, and is currently working as a full-time motion designer at Lunar North. Emily has worked with a wide array of brands such as Google, Hulu, GM, TCF Bank, and Barton Malow.
Freelance Designer / Animator
Larisa is a full-time freelance graphic designer and animator based in Brooklyn, NY. Since graduating from CCS in 2016, she has worked on network rebrands, documentary films, show packages, stage graphics, explainer videos, and advertising campaigns for clients like HBOMax, Spotify, Netflix, FX, and MTV.
